PORTRAITS OF A COWGIRL | A Texas Story

A series of eight paintings was born from a deeply personal chapter in my life, living in Texas and hosting my very first artist retreat in 2025. On a Texas ranch, women artists from across North America gathered to create, connect, and awaken the cowgirl spirit within themselves. What emerged was not just a retreat, but a celebration of individuality, storytelling, and the freedom to blend who we are with where we are.

Each painting in this collection represents a character, a cowgirl & her boots with her own personality, style, and story. While rooted in cowboy culture, these pieces are not about tradition alone. They are about interpretation. About taking a little piece of where you’ve been, where you dream of going, and how you express yourself, and weaving it into a Western narrative.

As always, there’s a twist, cowboy culture fused with florals, fashion, travel, and refined aesthetics. These cowgirls are strong, stylish, romantic, adventurous, and unapologetically themselves.

Pink Cowgirl is a celebration of femininity, fashion, and fearless self-expression. She is not your typical cowgirl, and she’s proud of it. Raised in the cooler climates of Northern Canada, she learned early on that culture is something you embrace, not something you’re born into. Wherever she goes, she absorbs the beauty around her and makes it her own.
Wrapped in pink, one of my most beloved colors,, this piece reflects the playful, cheeky, and unapologetically feminine side of my artistic voice. Traditional Western patterns like plaids are softened and elevated with romantic florals, creating a fusion that feels both iconic and unexpected. She’s chic, confident, and fully aware that she’s making a statement, and that’s exactly the point.
