I’m a French-Canadian born artist from a small town in Northwestern Ontario called Fort Frances. My creativity and passion for art developed at a very young age when we spent every summer at our cottage on Rainy Lake. With no running water, electricity or plumbing, to pass the time we played board games, swam, and spent countless hours sitting our hour picnic table painting and drawing everything I saw around me. Art helped me pass the time and I became very good at drawing at a very young age. It made me happy and extremely content just creating.  The freedom to scribble whatever I felt was euphoric, and to this day, I feel the same way.

After several moves across country by the age of eight we finally settled in Thunder Bay, Ontario where I eventually called this my hometown. I went on to study and graduate from Lakehead University with a BFA in 1996. Shortly after graduating I relocated to Vancouver, BC and started displaying my large scale animals and exhibiting them local exhibitions.

In 2003 I found my niche producing decorative and trend forward art within the home décor industry, publishing and licensing my tropical florals to retailers and manufacturers globally. In that same year I was welcomed aboard the City of Richmond Art Centre as an art teacher, judge for juried exhibition, and contractor for the City of Richmond on various art projects.  One of which was collaborating with world renown arts facility planner, Milenko Matonovic, on the a East Richmond Gather Place. I was also proud to be an integral part of developing an outreach program serving the Richmond School Board by bringing art education back into the school system.

In 2007 I married and we relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where I immediately dove into the art scene gaining relationships with local galleries and organizations all while continuing to produce published works for home décor.  After 10 years in Phoenix, I was brought on to implemented a youth outreach program in the west valley educating young teens on the business of art and curating, developing art skills, and collaborating on projects that we would donate to local facilities for permanent display, such as the White Tank Regional Library.

In the early months of 2020 my family and I relocated to a quiet little farm town just north of Fort Worth, Texas where I now reside. I love the quiet life that surrounds my home with nature, farms, open clean air and my garden. I’ve always been inspired by the outdoors and I love having open space to create in and give me loads of inspiration.

Boho, jungle, tropical, farmhouse, and eclectic designs are at the heart of themes explored in my artwork.  I am deeply connected to nature and water and have a great love for the beach and tropics, so you will find a lot of these elements in my work. Fusing styles influenced by culture, nature, and travel, while incorporating trend forward colors are my specialty.  There is always a touch of delicacy and femininity in my work but also strength in the beauty of it. Mandalas, botanicals, ink spots, and intuitive, free-flowing lines are common elements in my paintings. I also use numerous techniques I’ve adopted throughout the years to create a variety of visual esthetics, depending on the mood.   Using watercolor, acrylic, ink, pencil, with my technique of negative painting, and mixed mediums make up for some of these .The resulting combination is visually therapeutic and calming. My work is created with the intent to give focus on the beauty of design and uplifting the surroundings of ones living space.

I am a full-time professional licensing artist who is passionate about interior design. My work can be found in retailers across the globe such as JC Penny Home, Pier 1 Imports, Sears, Urban Art Loft, Art de Coeur, Wayfair, Art.com, Houzz, Kirkland, At Home, Hobby Lobby, Overstock.com, and Allposters.com

“I love creating art for the home. Tropical, Coastal, Jungle, and Plants are my specialty but I love the challenge of creating collections that are on trend and a little out of my element. Licensing my art allows me to continue to grow and develop new styles and techniques to fulfill the ever changing demand of the décor market. I just love it.”
